Yesterday at church Ann and I had the honor of meeting a couple who were interested in joining a Life Team (f.k.a. Small Group). They are David and Becky Freeman. They have been attending BAF for over 2 years and they live in Flour Bluff. Well, the best of the best have found each other! They are joining our life team family!! I have more details, but I think we will wait until our next gathering when we all meet. Welcome David and Becky!
First Sandbar Home Team
We are a Bay Area Fellowship Home Team located in Flour Bluff dedicated to married couples with young children. We meet every other Monday from 6:15pm - 7:45pm. Our desire is to provide fellowship and encouragement to other Christian couples. Leaders, David & Ann, are excited to facilitate group discussions on current Christian and life topics. Our goal is to form lasting Christ-like relationships on a small group basis.

Lazy Blog Leaders
Ann and I have been, to say the least, very lazy in maintaining our Home Team blog. Our apologies. We will try and make it interesting enough that you may want to visit at least once a week.
If you have any content you would like to share, by all means, please e-mail david@rssco.com and I will be happy to post content for you!
As you can see, Ann has added some current events content to the right.
Be sure to bookmark!!
Blessings to all!

A Prayer to the Supreme Sustainer
From a friend...
Loving Father, we are full of gratitude today as we consider Your abiding presence in our lives, day in and day out. You planned our existence in our mother’s womb even before we drew our first breath. While so many people have come into and out of our lives over the years You abide with us forever. When the path before us is unclear You always go before us sustaining us in our wilderness journeys. Though all forsake us You remain faithful. Remarkable as it seems, even if we are faithless, You will remain faithful, for You cannot deny Yourself. Thank You for being our Supreme Savior and the Sustainer of our souls. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Welcome!
Welcome Eric, Valerie and family! Thanks for joining our family at First Sandbar! We are a WYSIWYG home team and tonight was a perfect example. Far from perfect people with every day problems coming together for fellowship and prayer in His name.

My Resolution Going Forward
My resolution going forward is code name B-1 (Blessings 1,000). I am not calling this a New Year thing....just a regular thing.
My goal...3 additional blessings a day to a friend, a loved one, or a stranger….Do the math! In a year, the total could exceed 1,000!
One Act of Kindness
Let someone cut ahead of you in line at the store.
Give that car ahead/along side of you the benefit of the doubt.
Stand up for someone that is the target of a negative remark.
Pay for a service person's meal.
Surprise your family or coworkers with something special.
One Unseen Work
Put away a toy your kid left out.
Pick up a piece of trash that is not yours.
Refrain from criticizing or from making a negative comment.
Pass up that close parking spot for that person in your mirror.
One Gift of Encouragement
Take time to listen and encourage someone.
Send someone an encouragement or appreciation note (even a text message).
Write a thank you note to a mentor.
